What is included in the Xpander Bundle?
The Xpander Bundle contains all five of Spectrasonics' S.A.G.E. Xpanders, which are specially designed for use with Stylus RMX. S.A.G.E. stands for Spectrasonics Advanced Groove Engine, a technology that allows you to manipulate and customize the grooves in various ways, such as changing the tempo, pitch, feel, mix, and more. The five Xpanders are:
Burning Grooves: Live drum grooves for maximum impact
This Xpander features killer kits and blazing live drum grooves performed by L.A. slammer Abe Laboriel Jr., who has worked with artists like Seal, Jeff Beck, Steve Vai, and Joe Sample. The grooves are remixed by producer Eric Persing, who is also the founder of Spectrasonics and the creator of Distorted Reality and Bass Legends. Burning Grooves delivers high-energy rhythms that will make your tracks rock.
Liquid Grooves: Organic percussion loops for creative textures
This Xpander combines propelling live drum grooves with unusual, organic percussion loops to create entirely new grooves that will inspire your creativity. The live elements are performed by some of L.A.'s most inventive session players, and then transformed into unique sonic textures by using ground-breaking signal processing techniques and state-of-the-art electronic instruments. Liquid Grooves offers a fresh and original sound that will spice up your music.
Metamorphosis: Cutting-edge loop manipulations for futuristic sounds
This Xpander is a showcase of Eric Persing's trademark loop manipulations, which are truly one-of-a-kind in texture and feel. Each one of the hundreds of amazing remix grooves is a masterpiece of sound design that will take your music to another dimension. Metamorphosis is ideal for creating futuristic, cinematic, and experimental music that will blow your listeners away.
Backbeat: Solid, tasty grooves for rock and pop music
This Xpander is a collection of great-feeling, rock-steady grooves with attitude, but without overplaying. The variety and quality of these grooves is astonishing, covering a wide range of styles and tempos. The grooves are performed by top L.A. drummers like Gregg Bissonette, Bob Wilson, Eric Boseman, and John Ferraro, and mixed by Eric Persing. Backbeat is perfect for adding a solid foundation to your rock and pop tracks.
Retro Funk: Vintage grooves with a fresh twist
This Xpander offers a new take on the classic funk sound, with a sonic texture that makes them ultra-flexible for any modern track. The grooves are performed by legendary drummer Clyde Stubblefield, who is known as the original "Funky Drummer" for his work with James Brown. The grooves are remixed by Eric Persing using his innovative techniques and instruments. Retro Funk brings you the best of both worlds: vintage vibe and modern edge.
