from 1973 to 1975, he completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at ucla medical center. in 1975, dr. hupp went on to earn his certificate in general surgery from the yale university school of medicine and completed a two-year surgery rotation at new york university medical center. in 1980, dr. hupp started his practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the university of connecticut and it has remained a part of his practice ever since. he is board-certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery by the american board of oral and maxillofacial surgery. he has been a fellow of the american college of oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1980.
